Hands On - Regulars
The Citadel hosts a series of events on a weekly and monthly basis that constitutes our 'Regulars' section.
Our 'Regulars' cover various genres, from film and music events, to art workshops; some of which are FREE; others may incur a small cost.
No matter how varied your interests may be, check below for details about The Citadel's regular events, and see which grab your attention!
Ken Read Portrait Class
Thursday 10am-12pm
The Ken Read Portrait Class runs every Thursday morning, and provides artists of varying abilities with the chance to draw, paint or sketch a life model.
The cost of each class is £2.50, and this includes refreshments during the mid-morning break.
If you are interested in attending the class, it is open to anyone, regardless of artistic ability. Just come along, with your art supplies, and join in!
Big Band
Thursday 2-4pm
FREE
The Citadel Big Band has been together for many years now and continues to go from strength to strength. This collection of local musicians have performed at various St. Helens events.
If you can play any kind of instrument and are interested in partaking, come along to The Citadel Arts Centre, and let's make music happen!
Thurs 17th August 2011 - We would like to thank Roy Hassall who at the age of 84 is today leaving our Big Band. Roy has been a member since 1994 playing Keyboards and everyone at the Citadel would like to wish him the best of luck for the future.
NEW KEYBOARD PLAYER REQUIRED - The Citadel Big Band is looking for a Keyboard player to join the group. They play light music & swing. The music is played from arrangement. Please contact us if you are interested.
Overload
The second Friday of every month
DOORS: 7.30pm
Under 18? Interested in new, up and coming local bands? Love Punk/Nu Rock music? Then Overload is for you.
Overload is The Citadel's own monthly music night where new local bands have the chance to perform to a massive audience.
If you are interested in playing at Overload, please contact us. Within the e-mail, please give details of the band, its members, and if possible a demo of your work.

Epochalypse
First Friday of Every Month
Tickets £5. Doors 7.30pm. Finishes at 10pm
New monthly dry bar clubnights for under 18's.
The night features DJ Leo. He is notorious for playing some of the most cutting edge parties on both the UK and International stage. Expect to hear some of the finest club anthems with a twist.
