Mum can you lend me twenty quid

The Citadel Arts Centre Theatre Company began its journey in May 2012 with the extremely successful production of Mum Can you lend me £20, a stage play adapted by Mike Howl from the book written by Elizabeth Burton Phillips.  The story charts the tragic journey of Elizabeth and her two twin boys, Nick and Simon, who as young men became addicted to Heroin resulting in Nick’s death and Simon turning his life around in the name of his twin.  The fantastic dedicated cast moved audiences with their powerful performances at the Citadel St Helens, Wellington College in Reading, Elizabeth’s home town, and at HMP Peterborough.  Due to the success and rave reviews the theatre company hope to tour again in the autumn to various prisons and schools in the Midlands.
