Alcohol, Smoking & Drugs

The Citadel recognises its responsibilities and adopts the following policy in relation to alcohol, smoking and drugs.

The Citadel advises responsible drinking. Excessive drinking can cause harm and we encourage people to observe the daily guidelines for sensible drinking. We actively encourage people to strictly not drink and drive.

The Citadel supports Challenge 25. If you are lucky enough to look under 25 you will be asked to prove that you are aged 18 or over when you purchase alcohol from The Citadel bar.  If you are under 18, you are committing an offence if you attempt to buy alcohol.

The Citadel is a strictly No Smoking building as from Saturday 1st April 06. Ashtrays will be provided outside the venue for customers who would like to have a cigarette.

The Citadel has a zero tolerance to the use of any form of illegal class A to C drugs. Such items are strictly not allowed on our premises under any circumstances. We aim to reduce the harm that drugs cause to society and will take all necessary action to keep illegal drugs out.
