For music-goers throughout St.Helens and beyond we are sure you will agree that this season's exciting line up of events will brighten up anyone's winter month's.
Everyone at The Citadel is already looking forward to the year ahead, as in 2009 we will be celebrating our 21st Birthday, and what better way to get festivities underway than once again welcoming a diverse mix of musicians to perform at our venue.
Over the past 21 years The Citadel has been the reason many a well-known face has visited St.Helens. This list includes The Verve, Peter Kay, Candie Staton and The Happy Mondays to name just a few.
Within our Winter season for the Blues fans amongst you there's the renowned Connie Lush plus Dr Feelgood with what will no doubt prove to be another memorable gig, for Folk devotees Vin Garbutt and Martin Simpson, we also pay homage with Nearly Dan, Liverpool singer/songwriter Ian McNabb rand the now infamous local lads The Lancashire Hotpots return, plus our regular Citadel band nights Overload and Rubberneck.
Fay Lamb, Chief Executive comments: "This season the Citadel is proud to bring some of the best folk, blues, singer/songwriters and local artists to perform in St.Helens. We hope local audiences will find something they like in the Citadel programme and help to make the events a great success."
Once again thank you for your continued support.
